Community Guide

Southeast Wisconsin boasts a wide variety of communities ranging in size from 1.2 million (the Milwaukee area), to 10,000 (Burlington) to 1,000 (Rochester). Some of the communities that I specialize in are Burlington, East Troy, Mukwonago, Rochester, Waterford and Wind Lake.

For more information on each of these communities, plus a photo tour of each, click on the corresponding link. Then enjoy this wonderful portion of Southeast Wisconsin!! We'd love for you to call it "home", if it isn't already.

Burlington
Burlington is a city of over 10,000 residents. It is known as Chocolate City USA because of the Nestle Chocolate Factory. It has extensive shopping areas and such nationally known stores as Kmart, Menards, Walgreens and Wal-Mart Supercenter. Highway 36, a four-lane road, connects Burlington to Milwaukee (about 40-45 minutes to the north).

East Troy
East Troy boasts nearly 3,000 residents and is located along Interstate 43 just 45 minutes from downtown Milwaukee. Five minutes away is the Alpine Valley Resort, the only ski resort in the Midwest with two high-speed quads. Alpine Valley also boasts a golf course, and hosts numerous summer rock concerts. Several beautiful lakes, including the desirable Lake Beulah are close by.

With a population of about 6,000, Mukwonago is strategically located where Interstate 43 and Highway 83 intersect. The rapidly-growing village has a number of beautiful parks, a developing shopping area which includes a Wal-Mart Supercenter and a Home Depot, and two medical facilities.

Rochester
Rochester, a community of just over 1,000 people, is known for its quaint shops and apple orchards. It is located between Burlington and Waterford along four-lane Highway 36, and is just 10 minutes from the Alpine Valley Resort, which provides skiing in the wintertime; golf in spring, summer and fall; and rock concerts in the summer.

With just under 5,000 residents, the village of Waterford is one of the fastest growing communities in the state. If the town of Waterford is included in the area, nearly 11,000 people make their home here. Waterford is a much sought-after area due to its rural feel, the beautiful Fox River/Tichigan Lake recreational waterway, its excellent school system and its proximity to Milwaukee (just 35 minutes from downtown Milwaukee via four-lane Highway 36). In 2006, Waterford celebrated its 100 years of incorporation.
Wind Lake

The unincorporated community of Wind Lake sits in the township of Norway. With an estimated population of about 8.000, the Wind Lake area is home to many individuals who work in Milwaukee, but love the beauty of open farmland, as well as three area lakes. It is located five miles north of Waterford on Highway 36.
